ABOUT: Simpson & Vail Inc., one of the oldest Tea companies in the USA, is a family-owned business dedicated to offering quality teas from around the world. We have over 380 teas as well as over 100 herbal tisanes.  All blends are hand crafted in Brookfield, CT in small batches to ensure freshness.  Incorporated in 1929, Simpson & Vail was purchased by Jim & Joan Harron in the mid-70’s and today 2 of their children, Jim and Cyndi, are running day-to-day operations.  We are thrilled to be a part of the tea drinking community and we’re proud of the tea we create for our customer’s enjoyment.

STAFF INTRODUCTIONS:

Jim Harron

Although Jim worked at S&V throughout high school and college doing a variety of tasks, he began working full time at S&V in 1990.  Originally, he handled customer service to all our store and tearoom accounts and then added purchasing products to his job description.  Today Jim oversees all day-to-day operations at S&V. He is our main tea taster and oversees acquisition of teas, coffees and specialty foods.

Cyndi Harron 

Cyndi began working at S&V at a very young age and has fond memories of subway rides in NYC and the small, but aromatic, S&V store on Park Place.  Also joining S&V in late 1990, Cyndi took an active interest in developing herbal blends for the company after enrolling in Rosemary Gladstar’s Science & the Art of Herbalism course.  Today Cyndi still handles purchasing all herbals as well as working on new product development and overseeing catalog and design work.

Allegra Lueck

Allegra began working at Simpson & Vail in 2016 while in college. Originally, she was in the warehouse packing orders and assisting in the retail store. In 2019 she decided to combine her love of tea with her passion for the great outdoors by developing the National Park line of teas.  Today she assists with new product development, oversees marketing and social media, as well as various other projects.
